R/C Mirage 2000
These videos were shot in Lancieux (France) in summer 2006
and show the first two flights of Yann LeCun's Mirage 2000,
powered by an electric ducted fan.
- wingspan: 66cm, length 99cm
- mass: 490g with battery
- propulsion: GWS EDF 65 with Feigao motor
- battery: 3-cell LiPo Apache 1800mAh.
- material: the wing is a single piece of 6mm Depron, the nose
section is carved in polyurethane foam, and the fuselage is
a piece single sheet of 3mm Depron curved in shape with a heat gun.
The EDF nozzle is a section of "Badoit" sparkling water bottle!
